INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON YOUTH AND TECHNOLOGY

24-26 APRIL 2025 / ANKARA

In a globalizing world, young people’s interests are changing day by day. The emergence of scientific and technical innovations, the spread of the internet, the increase in smart electronic devices, the development of artificial intelligence, the spread of digitalization and social media platforms also change and transform young people’s relations with technology and the virtual world. These technological changes and transformations also affect young people’s attitudes in various fields such as communication, education, family, environment, culture, health, consumption, secularization, morality and values.

Younger generations are more intertwined with the new opportunities that have emerged with the development of technology and the widespread use of the internet than other generations. Scientific and technical developments such as social media, the internet, virtual games, metaverse, transhumanism, the universe and artificial intelligence have an important place among the interests of young people. In this respect, what kind of changes/transformations do young people’s relationships with technological innovations bring about in their individual and social lives? How do technological innovations affect young people’s family relations, mental and physical health, cultural and social life, human relations, moral and value judgments? What are the orientations and perspectives of young people towards current developments in fields such as artificial intelligence, transhumanism, science, universe, biotechnology, metaverse? How do young people envision the future in the face of technological innovations?

By organizing the International Symposium on Youth and Technology on the axis of these discussions, we plan to address the issue from different perspectives with a scientific perspective. We aim to determine the current state of the relationship between youth and technology in all its dimensions through theoretical and practical studies based on current research. On this occasion, we are pleased to invite valuable scientists and researchers to the symposium. We hope that you will make valuable contributions with your participation in the symposium and we extend our regards to all of you.
